You are all probably busy thinking about and shopping for Mother’s day presents. You’ve searched online and in stores for the perfect, unique gifts to express to her how much she means to you. Our Moms know that we love them – not by the amount or grandness of the gifts we purchase for them – but by the little things we say and do for them all year long. If you are overwhelmed with Mother’s Day or you are looking for a way to show how you REALLY feel – and maybe you are also on a limited budget –

Here are few ideas that that have been suggested as very thoughtful- no cost ways to show Mom you love her:

• Do something unexpected to make Mom’s life just a tiny bit easier – This Mom said: “The other day my husband, without my asking, went out in the evening and filled my car up with gas so I wouldn’t be rushed in the morning. He’s a keeper!”

• Leave a note somewhere unexpected for her to find– One mom told this story“ My daughter stuck a post-it note to the bathroom mirror in my bathroom that said “You’re the Best Mom in the Whole World!” It made my day!”.

• Say Thank You for something Mom does for you that mostly is taken for granted – Here’s what one happened to one mom: “My six-year-old daughter said to me while I was folding laundry “Thank you for washing my underpants, mom”. Now that makes it all worth it!

• Say something nice to Your Mom for no reason at all – A Happy Mom said: “My eight-year-old son was staring at me with a peculiar expression while I was just sitting and reading. I asked him what he was thinking about. He said “You are a fun Mom.” This is pretty much the highest compliment a Mom can get!”

• Let Mom ‘overhear’ you compliment her to someone else – Here’s out that would work. One husband said: “While talking to my kids last Saturday morning, I told them how lucky we all were to have such a great Mom who takes care of it, loves us and is so much fun to be around. Later, my wife told me that was one of the nicest things she had ever heard me say.”
