As a single parent, you are part of this country's 10 million moms or dads raising children alone. 10 million is a lot of folks, but that large group isn't very useful when you're the only parent available at 3:00 in the morning to comfort a fussy toddler. When something like that happens, you feel most, what you are a lot of the time - alone!

Talking to teens about sexual behaviors is at best awkward and for most parents very difficult. But your kids deserve to hear the straight talk about such a vital part of their maturing life from the people that cherish them the most.

Are you a speed limit for your kids? Much like we check the white highway sign for the legal speed limit when we enter a new town, kids are constantly checking their moms and dads for signs to see if they are within the "legal" limits of the family. We feel safer and less anxious when we are in a school zone, hospital zone, or construction zone if we know what is the safe speed to drive. By knowing this limit, we know that we are SAFE to drive without getting pulled over by a police officer. We know our limits and this makes us feel more secure and not so worried.
