Summer, Koolaid and VBS

Koolaid and cookies. Sticky Paste. The Smell of Magic Markers. And the sounds of loud voices singing: “ Booster, Booster Be a Rooster!”  What is it?  Well if you attended Vacation Bible School any summer, you know what I’m talking about. It’s that time of year when church’s children’s ministries are gearing up for that wild, wonderful, wacky and fun week!!!! VBS!  Are your kids going?  Make sure your child has the opportunity to be part of a vacation Bible school at one of our local churches.  It’s a short time frame during the day or evening that even the most timid child can usually handle, and it can be a wonderful way for your family to connect with other families. You can get to know the moms and dads of your child’s friends also during this casual, less formal event at church.  Most parents want their kids summer time to be filled not just with fun, but meaningful experiences. That is one thing that Vacation Bible School teachers know how to do. They will involve your child in learning about making wise choices, building good character, helping others while getting to be loud and screamy!
