Dr. Joneal S. Kirby

Dr. Joneal Kirby is an inspirational communicator and a unique combination of marriage and family therapist, women’s ministry leader, parent trainer, marriage educator and radio and television speaker. She is a featured presenter with the It’s a Mom Thing event and has appeared with Lisa Welchel, Chonda Pierce, Sandi Patti, and Jennifer Rothschild at this women's conference. Her unique speaking style combines practical advice, Biblical insights, and humor rooted in her passion for strengthening families.

In addition, Joneal is the creator and director of the women’s mentoring ministry, Heart to Home, which encourages spiritually meaningful friendships between women across generations. She is co-host of the television show, Girlfriends, and the creator and host of the radio program, The Family 411.

Joneal is the author of the forthcoming book on practical parenting solutions, The Family 411, based on parenting advice featured on her radio program. The book’s content is tailor-made for the challenges parents face today and full of sensible solutions

Joneal and her husband are the creators and hosts for a bi-annual marriage retreat. They also co-teach marriage classes in their local church, where she is the director of the Women’s Ministry and the Marriage and Family Ministry.

Dr. Kirby holds a Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy. She is the founding director of the Christian Counseling and Resource Center and is a licensed, practicing therapist. Prior to this, she was an educator and school counselor for 17 years. She lives in West Monroe, Louisiana with her husband Randy and Maggie, her black lab. They have four grown children, 2 sons, one daughter and one daughter-in-love.
